Comments: Primary care and prevention ensure a healthier population and lower the overall cost of health care. Taxpayer funded providers especially must make it their mission to provide primary care.

Comments: We strongly support the petition and its reasoning. Recent experience in the emrgency Room, with very dedicated staff, made us realize the personnel shortage.

Comments: I have been concerned about this for some time. UNCMH is a resource for the state, and is the only referral for many rural residents. However, some local residents stated that they recently received both better and less expensive treatment for an injury at the hospital in Siler City, which is not where patients are typically sent or referred.
