The Seniors Centre Society would like the Lawn Bowling Green restored.

Please sign our petition to presented to the District for restoration of the Bowling Greens using some subsidized materials and labour.

This District owned facility was established under a community amenity package by Solterra. It is located at the end of Village Green Way, about a block down from the Seniors Centre.

For several Summers bowlers used the facility but then the District discontinued maintenance as a cost saving measure.

We believe this is a valuable facility, allowing all members of the community to come out, get some exercise and socialise.

To make this possible the Seniors Centre Advisory Board has located groups that would aid in the restoration;

• One is a landscaping firm that would provide a no cost estimate on what is required to restore the facility.

• Several contractors would make time and equipment available at a reduced rate to complete the restoration.

• Home Depot would provide the grass seed and chemicals at no cost.

All of the restoration work will be contingent on enough people providing a positive response to persuade Council that there is a need for this facility to be restored now, for this Summer's use and to continue to be maintained by the District.

If you feel that this is a worthwhile pursuit and use of public funds, please sign the petition and pass it to your friends and relatives who may be of a similar mind.
