| 5 | Anonymous | It's time for Carilion to talk to the doctors to work out a compromise. This Clinic does not have to function as a closed system. We're going to see a lot of physicians leave, and what quality of docs will replace them? |

| 22 | PATRICIA EGGLESTON | ISSUES FACING LOCAL HEALTH CARE CAN BE RESOLVED/IMPROVED IN OTHER LESS DRASTIC WAYS. THE CLINIC MODEL WILL LOWER THE AREAS QUALITY OF HEALTH CARE AND THE AREA WILL SUFFER FROM THE LOSS OF EXPERIENCED DOCTORS THAT WILL NOT BE EASILY, IF EVER, REPLACED. IT WOULD BE HELPFUL FOR THE PUBLIC'S UNDERSTANDING OF THE CLINIC MODEL FOR YOU TO STOP "SUGAR-COATING" YOUR PUBLIC COMMENTS, AND START ADDRESSING THE NEGATIVE IMPACT THIS CLINIC WILL HAVE. YOU HAVE THE MEDIA AND THE MONEY TO SHOVE THIS THROUGH. IF THE CLINIC MODEL IS SO GREAT, WHY NOT A MORE "FAIR AND BALANCED" DEBATE/APPROACH? |

| 29 | Herbert C. Berding, Jr. | Spend the money on salary increases for nurses and others directly caring for patients.
Reduce the salary of Mr. Murphy.
Remove all people from the board who have conflicts of interests (those people who can benefit from Carilion spending money; those people who have invited Mr. Murphy to join their boards thereby financially benefitting him).
Put the medical care decisions back in the hands of the doctors who are actually caring for the patients. |

| 46 | JUDY ELMORE | I found out first hand about the Carilion physicians booking appointments for patients every 5 minutes. I waited with my brother at a Carilion office for over 2 hours before we even saw a physician. In the waiting room, patients were talking what time their appointment was. We spend a total of 5 hours there that day. |
