Comments: This is absolutely outrageous. It isn't the breed of dog that is dangerous, it's the owner.

Comments: I'm quite shocked that BSL exists anywhere in NL. Loving Pittie owners and intelligent non-dog owners alike have been fighting in ON to repeal BSL because as we have learned, it's not the breed that is the problem. But rather, irresponsible pet owners and a slew of bad press that has sensationalized and vilified an innocent, gentle breed of canine. That said, I implore you to repeal this baseless town law. Thank you.

Comments: Its so much easier to blame a bad action on the breed of a dog than for the human owner of the dog to take responsibility. People have to learn to take responsibility for their actions, until then the animals will suffer. So sad that such people exist, maybe they should be put down!

Comments: we can't let this continue, BSL in general is a result of ignorance and an unwillingness to learn about canine behavior.

Comments: I think this law is foolish. If the dog is well behaved and on a leash etc, there is no reason what so ever to band a breed from a town.

Comments: As a Pit Bull owner for the past 10 years, I cannot imagine my family without our Pit Bull. She joined our family at 9 weeks of age and has never showed anything but patience and love when interacting with any person or animal. Shame on the council for such an archaic outlook on banning certain breeds.

Comments: The idea of banning a specific breed of dog is outragous. Stupid people are only going to find other ways to use animals for their own greedy needs. I never met a responsible person who's dog was unbearably aggresive. It's all in the owners.
