Name: Vicky Knee on Oct 2, 2012Comments: I had a tenent in Calgary that owned a pit bull and she was a wonderful dog. I was very nervous at first but after a bit of time with her learned that all she wanted was a snuggle and to have her tummy rubbed! now, i'm not saying that we should approach all pit bulls the same way - we, in fact, should not approach ANY strange dod this way! but we SHOULD understand that the dog's temperment has a lot more to do with the training/environment than with the breed. Let's educate people, not kill dogs.Flag

Name: Noah Patterson on Oct 2, 2012Comments: All logical, rational and intelligent people know that breeds are not the problem but rather the owners that are the problem. Banning breeds is a callous, heartless and inhumane way to score cheap political points and make it look like something is being done about a problem. Target owners, write laws with teeth that come down hard on negligent and abusive owners. The dogs are not at fault, do not punish them nor the responsible owners. It is the responsible owners who are hurt the most by breed bans.Flag

Name: L Kelly Sanders on Oct 2, 2012Comments: This is completely unacceptable in a society that likes to think it is so educated and advanced. For Shame! What we all need is responsible pet owners! Ken has it right! Punish those PEOPLE responsible for the animals upbringing not the innocent animal that only wishes to be a part of a loving family to give and receive love and kindness. Never to be raised in fear and abuse. Even if you are not a "dog person" Please Please recognize where the true fault lies and "Ban the dees not the breeds"!!Flag
