Our story:

My heart is as heavy as my Great Pyrenees. My sweet, sweet boy left us today. He was only 7 months old and almost 100 lbs of pure love and joy. My life won't be the same without him. He was my first dog as a real adult, my velcro baby....stuck to me always.

In all the research I did before getting him about crate training I never ONCE read that you shouldn't leave a collar on your dog in the crate. Orion figured out today how to get the top of the crate to open a little. In doing so he caught his collar on a latch and suffocated himself sometime while we were at work today. My dear husband came home to find him there. We are both in shock and disbelief. We are so good and loving to all of our animals and Orion was my shadow. He could be in a deep sleep and still know when I left a room and he'd get up to follow me. I can't imagine life without my gentle giant, this is the hardest thing to live with.
