In order for a consumer to make an informed decision whether to purchase an imported item, the merchant advertising wares on the Internet, should be required to publish where an item was manufactured. Heretofore, this has not been a requirement, and many a purchase is inadvertently made because the consumer did not know the item was manufactured on foreign soil. The consumer should be able to 'read the label' before deciding to buy an imported item.
