Name: Tom Kuipers on Mar 24, 2008Comments: I've been a season ticket holder since Day 1 and we sit in the clubs. We will not renew our tickets until a new GM is in place, Waddell has not gotten the job done, it's time to get a good GM in here.Flag

Name: Chris Lapierre on Mar 24, 2008Comments: Arguements supporting my petition to remove Don Waddell. Accountability: First it was the 5 yr plan. Then there was the playoff garauntee. This last season we were to return to the playoffs. Failed, failed and failed. The Future: Hossa leaves do to lack of belief in Blueland. Zhitnik for Coborn costing us $3.5MM plus the incremental spend on his replacement vs Coburn rookie salary. Todd White 4 yr deal to be 1st line center a role he can not fill. Drafting: As eluded to in the Burnside article DW has a terrible record of producing results from the draft. Take away X and Toby and you have even less. Contracts: Ruchin, Holik, Hartley and Kozlov all overpaid. Add Zhitnik to this mix as a aquisition. We dont have enough margin to mis-manage this poorly.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Mar 24, 2008Comments: I believe dw deserves 1 more year to turn this team around. He has had to work for 3 different owners. Handle the Heatley mess. Had more goalies to start a season than any team in the history of the NHL. Develop players in s system where the owners did not want to pay the entire bill but have another owner of a AHL team do their work. I believe dw is a competitor and will turn this team around.Flag

Name: Michael Sollot on Mar 24, 2008Comments: As a hockey fan for over 40 years, I am very disappointed with the quality of the product delivered on the ice. There is an obvious lack of quality, particularly on defense; there is an obvious lack of cohesion between the players. While Mr. Waddell is a respected man in the hockey world, there comes a time when the organization needs a fresh start. It is time for Mr. Waddell to step down.Flag

Name: Barry Flynn on Mar 24, 2008Comments: I stopped subsidizing Don Waddell's incompetence many years ago. I have sent Mr. Waddell numerous email messages over the years--to which he has never responded. He has run this organization into the ground. The 'real' fans deserve better than this--and his accountability/dismissal is the only action I will accept before the organization gets another dollar of mine.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Mar 24, 2008Comments: I am not a season ticket holder but I have never spent less than $3000 dollars in a season with the thrashers sinse 2001/2002 normally mI spend more. I will not continue to spend money with your company until some major changes are made. It is not for me to say how you should invest your money but the poor drafting of talent the inablilty to assemble a team that can compete even at the lowest level in the NHL makes me belive that this is going to be the norm for your team and not a rare set back. Only a sign of good faith from the owners like finding a new GM will bring back my dollars. I do hope that you will make sweeping changes in this team I would like to continue to spend money with you but I can not spend on a product that is this poor.Flag

Name: Bugman on Mar 25, 2008Comments: DW has failed to produce any semblance of a playoff caliber hockey team. IIRC, he had a 10 year plan when he initially signed on with the Thrashers. Miracles not withstanding, that ain't gonna happen. Poor personel choices, bad trades, busted draftees. DW has been consistantly bad as GM. Now we can add coach to the list. How much more pain will Spirit Group allow this guy to inflict Wait! The epiphany! Mayhap Spirit Group is leveraging a sell off a la the Flames!Flag

Name: Todd Galucki on Mar 25, 2008Comments: Ownership knows nothing about hockey, and I have no trust in their ability to find a new GM or coach...but enough is enough with Don Waddell. Nice guy and all, but he knows nothing about developing a team...which is kind of important for a GM. And this took way too long for fans to realize. We've lost several years with Waddell. The good news is, in today's NHL, Stanley Cup contenders can be built quickly. You don't need "5 Year Plans" anymore. But please no more "nice" GMs. We need a mean one like the one they have in Anaheim.Flag
