Since his hiring in 1998, Don Waddell has had considerable opportunity to draft, sign and acquire sufficient player, coaching and scouting talent to establish the Atlanta Thrashers as a playoff-caliber hockey club capable of winning the Stanley Cup. He has failed to do. We the undersigned season ticket holders and supporters of the Atlanta Thrashers hockey club urge the Atlanta Spirit Group to immediately terminate Don Waddell\'s contract as General Manager of the Atlanta Thrashers, and to convene a search committee led by an experienced NHL executive, who is not personally a candidate for the post, to identify qualified candidates to succeed Waddell as the club\'s General Manager.

I love the Hawks and like thousands of other Hawks fans, we have witnessed the devastation of a lack of interest, and questionable club moves. Do yourself a favor, and resign YESTERDAY!!

Nicholas Schwarz, United States5 years ago Comments: I only attend Thrashers games when a team I like is in town. Unfortunately the Thrashers are no longer among the teams that I like due to poor management and an inability to remain competitive. I would much rather drive to Nashville for a game than see one in my own city as long as Don Waddell remains in charge.
