Kenny Chesney has been selected to be the celebrity guest picker for the USC-Missouri match up this Saturday, September 27, 2014. However, we do not believe that Kenny Chesney is the best selection to represent the Gamecock community because of his obvious lack of affiliation to the school. In 2012, Chesney was the celebrity guest picker for Tennessee, another SEC school, only proving his lack of firm affiliation to USC. Far better choices include Connor Shaw (former USC quarterback, who, conveniently will be in town this weekend), Kyle Carpenter (youngest recipient of the Medal of Honor and current student at USC), among others. College Gameday is far more about school pride than it is about endorsing country music. Lets stand as Gamecock nation to replace Kenny Chesney with a more deserving USC representative. Go Cocks!
