Chris Reiner | Don't want money for my land. Want my kids and grandkids to be able to live here if they want. What's wrong with a house on 5-10 acres? 300' - 1000' buffers is a taking.
Richard LaIacoma | It is completely unfair to ask the landowners to bear the entire burden through the loss of their land value. Before the Master Plan was released, a vehicle to derive the financing needed to compensate the landowners should have been developed and incorporated into the Master Plan. No politician wants to support additional taxes, but for this Act to be fair a watertax for on of those that benefit would serve to spread the burden in an equitable manner. If no compensation is given to the landowners then the act should be repealed.

| 18 | Ed Bess | This is another "Freedom" being taken away by the Government. They have accomplished what we always feared, they have succumbed to Communism. Only Communist Countries or Countries ruled by Dictators will take your land. What the hell do you think our own Government has done? Dictate to us

James E. Kesler | The Highlands Act should be amended by the Legislature to provide protection for Private Property Rights, and exempt Farmers and Land Owners from the extreme Evnironmental Regulations having nothing to do with protecting water..

Michael O'Krepky | I own a residence and a commercial property within the highlands region. I spoke out against this law at the public hearings before it was passed. I also sent the highlands council a certified letter requesting my properties be left out of the region.

Margaret Lusardi | The value of my lot in the "preservation area" won't sell for $59,000, but the assessed value is $92,000! 2 years ago, it would have sold for $150,000! Why isn't Knowlton Twp. within the Highlands, with 2 rivers running through it....I heard the Mayor of Knowlton was on the Highlands Commission.....is he?
