Name: Anonymous on Jan 9, 2009Comments: I implore you to repeal and closely relook at the CPSIA. In its current state, it will be detrimental to small business, self-employment and the efforts of individuals to have the choice and ability to buy from small local entities. Thank you for your time. BenitaFlag

Name: Dan C. Rinnert on Jan 9, 2009Comments: Repeal the CPSIA in its entirety. No amount of amending is going to fix this thing; it will only force special interest groups to spar with each other over amendments that, in the end, will only benefit those with the most money and power to get their way. Just repeal it.Flag

Do you realize that in our times of economic crisis that this is only going to make things worse. This will only cause an even greater downfall in our economy. Please rethink what you are doing!Flag

Name: Angela on Jan 9, 2009Comments: Please, please reconsider the negative cultural (Native Americans for instance) and economic impact this will have on small business owners and hobbyists in the USA. The LAST thing whatsoever we need right now is something that will choke off sources of revenue for small businesses in this country. How many WAHMs & WAHDs depend on an income that comes from creating and selling goods for children A better way to curtail this problem is to STOP the flow of materials used in these creations coming from OTHER countries. Please do SOMETHING to encourage creating the materials HERE IN THE USA instead so WE can lift UP our own economy.Flag

The safety of my children takes priority over anything else but this act is not the improvement we need in the system. Please repeal this current act and give the issue the time and attention it deserves to be rewritten.Flag

I wholeheartedly support making products safe for children, but forcing thousands of small businesses who produce perfectly safe products to close their doors is unacceptable.Flag
