Dear Thomas Jefferson, I thank you for your effort, in trying to put all foreign countries including Britain and France to punish them. However, when you decided to pass the embargo act, my shoe business has been running low on money. Since, I have not been able to sell my shoes to other countries! Mr.Jefferson, I have worked hard all my life on my shoe company, but now the embargo act, has put me out of business. Lately, my family has been starving for food. We can not even afford the most least expensive items such as, bread, rice, beans, eggs, vegetables, fruits, etc. Great Britain is still, indeed successful by getting goods through illegal shipments. As well as getting their goods, Great Britain has prospered more than America. What I ask for and many others is a repeal of the embargo act. I thank you in advance. Sincerely, Alyssa Woods
