10 RaymondWinbushMDUSReparations for African have been cast as a "handout". They are not. They *are* a matter of justice and until they are achieved, there will be no "racial reconciliation" among Black and White people.

18 AhmadDanielsNCUSI strongly support all efforts to repair the wrongs done. A crime was done, people injured, reparations are due.
19 OddistLambrechtLAUSI also believe that the Private Corporation known as the Federal Reserve Bank which issued Class A,B & C stock,Should Grant Class A Stock to a Nation Minority Board of Directors. As some of the Above named Bankers in the Petition own these Class A Stock. That stock would represent part of the 4 Trillion Dollar National Debt owed to the Stock holder. Also that Stock would allow minorities a vote on the Fed.Res.Bd.on the set Intrest rate & Financial Policys governing the nation.

22 DenaJordanCAUSI may not see reparations in my day, but it would be a blessing for my daughter to be able to benefit from the sweat and labor that her Great Great Great Grandmother endurded so that big orgainizations/institutions could gain and gain while my daughter's struggles from their pain.
23 Stephanie MyersDCUSThe companies that are the target of this law suit benefited from the massive production of iron and steel during the slavery era. These companies owe a huge debt to the descendants of the hammermen, iron workers and miners who were the backbone of industrial slavery in the South. These miners died young, suffered illness and bore a huge burden of producing the iron and steel that went into wheels, trains, cars and ultimately planes. Slaves were not only agriculturalists they were industrialists.

27 TshakaScottMDUSI am a victim of the slave trade to this day. I hope corporations get some dignity and decency and paythose who built this country and their decendants
28 Les BalsigerWAUSI am outraged that us coprorations have profited from slavery and have not disgorged said profits.
29 WardMcAfeeCAUSReparations from corporations is a good first step. Governments at all levels of American life were involved in supporting and sustaining slavery and afterward Jim Crow. They too should be held to account.

34 IdaHakimGAUSThere are many white people who support reparations, and I am one of them. I believe that racism is behind the refusal of the U.S. House of Representatives to establish a Commission to study whether reparations are due (HR 40.) I hope that the courts will not be equally as racist. The reparations movement will not go away, because it is a movement for justice. There must be justice in this country for there to be peace between the races. Slavery and the lingering effects of slavery must be addressed.
