We are a group of concerned nursing students who care about the welfare of working poor families and hope to bring about change in social policies that will improve and promote equitable access to services to adequately meet the health needs of Ontario's most vulnerable.
A housing allowance as part of a national housing and poverty reduction strategy could help alleviate the affordable housing crisis, reduce the risk of eviction and homelessness, and improve health outcomes.
