The Maasai Mara Game reserve needs our help. The roads leading to this amazing area are in a very poor state. Having personally travelled the roads in November 2013 it was very apparent the difficult job the guides and drivers have. It was an arduous journey for the fittest of individuals, terribly uncomfortable and not a journey that anyone with health problems would endure. The Guides and drivers are amazing. They are so accomodating and always smile. They have work ethics that are second to none. The revenue that tourism brings to Kenja from tourism is immense. I have experienced the safaris and can honestly say it is an experience of a lifetime. Many people are now turning to fly into the Mara instead of taking the road trip purely because of the state of the roads. This is very sad because of the amazing scenery and sights that one misses by not engaging in the road trip. The drivers and guides are not asking for the world. They are merely asking that the roads become a priority. I have NEVER seen work ethics that these people have. They expect nothing. They are hard working and give EVERYTHING. They job share, not because they have to but because they are more concerned that someone else can also have the opportunity to give their families a better life. They are possibly the most unselfish people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Please please sign the petition. Without these people Kenja would not have the tourism but because they are so gentle and acccomodating no one listens!!! Let's MAKE then listen :)
