Petition to Repair Briarwood Lane

BRIDGE/LANE: We are in favor of repairing, not replacing the bridge. We wish to preserve the architectural integrity of the bridge and the character of the neighborhood.  We want to avoid the costly project of tearing up the road and trees and are opposed to the realignment of the pavement.  The current bridge and road provide traffic calming measures, which reduce speeds.

SPEED LIMITS: Township residents also want speed limits lowered, not raised on Briarwood Lane. The township proposal states that the 15mph speed limits at the bridge approach will be removed. Residents want this speed limit maintained with the newer, more reflective signs.  Petitioners also want the township to demand that the county allow a change for all of Briarwood Lane to a 20 mph speed limit, making it safer for our many pedestrians to share the road with autos.
