Hey guys, the den nightclub has been a place where people can go have a drink, dance, make new friends and some find love. It was the first gay nightclub in New Jersey, the Mack family went to court and won and be uses of that the LGBT community in New Jersey can now get together and have fun in other gay clubs (this happened even before stonewall). We can not let this place die out. We need to fight and show that we care about a place that has given us a home and that fought for us. By signing this petition you can show the owner that we love the Den nightclub and that we need it to be open. Things might need to change, maybe the staff or management and maybe other stuff but we can't change anything unless the club reopens. give the den a chance, I mean don't we all deserve a second chance?

As Much as I would love for the club to reopen I am sad it won't be. I had a very nice long chat with the powers that be last week. This was not something that was done the spur of the moment. This was a very long and thought out process. The emotional part of having to close it down came way before hand. As much as the Club has meant to the Community, Times have change. The Den is not the only nightclub that has closed/is closing/will close in the NJ area. The scene has changed, People aren't going out as much anymore. and no matter how much one promotes, gives away, or does, Technology and the world has changed. Being gay isn't like it was 50 years ago where you couldn't tell anyone, or 20 years ago where gays could only feel safe in a place just for themselves. Sadly People don't want to chance getting a DWI anymore, or they can go out to Any kind of bar and feel welcome. So like I said as much as I am sad to see the doors of the Den Close I totally understand and respect the owners decisions . But Best of luck with thinking you can change their minds

This place was ALWAYS sooo much fun! It was also always a great space to feel comfortable with who you are.
