The Southern California racetracks are closing down. Take "street" racers off the street sure...but how does that happen when tracks are closing? Its like you're taking a homeless person in telling them you'll take care of them then sending them back onto the "street." How would you like it if your child dies due to illegal street racing and the driver says, "Well I used to go to Irvindale but its closed now." Autoclub Dragstrip isn't open weekly, the legal drags in San Diego are BUT that's in San Diego. How many LA, Riverside, San Berdo County people are going to go down there? THIS IS A MAJOR BLOW TO RACING AS A WHOLE....and it won't be until THEIR kid(s) either grow up with a passion for racing or are jailed and/or hurt by illegal racing.
