Comments: I know, first hand, what SES tutoring can do for a child. One of my best friends niece was in a program and she not only loved the learning, but she said it was a lot of fun. Her parents got to choose the program she was in.

Comments: I have seen tremendous amount of improvement in many children through SES and think that without this program many children would not receive the education help they need and deserve. It would be an injustice to the children in this country taking these funds away and not allowing the parents to make the decision that affects their children’s education future.

Comments: I believe that parents should have a choice of tutoring programs to help their children. School administrations are always stating the value of parental and community involvement. However, when funding programs, schools are the only ones that should be funded Schools receive 80% (and 15% transportation - school choice) of the Title I Budget and our children are failing miserably. Let community programs try to help our children and their families using 5% of the Title 1 Budget for SES. I believe that parental involvement should include parent choice of after- school tutoring programs. Schools are not the only entities that can help our children to learn.

Comments: SES is a good community program that helps poor children. However anything that can help poor children is eliminated because of powerful, failing systems. When will our elected officials do the right thing

Comments: Please consider using the Renaissance Program. I was a tutor with them last year and it really made a difference with the grades of the students that I had.
