A Protection Order means NO CONTACT. Children are often named on or covered by them also. The person who has attained a Protection Order refuses violence in their lives and the lives of their children. Violence is not ok. Any kind of contact via Family Court with the offender/violator needs to stop. Even supervised- contact suggests it is the victims problem for withholding the children- that is not true. Desperately protecting their children has frequently been the victim's top priority. The abusers are not being held accountable for their violence. The women's and children's safety and welfare need to be family court priority. Victims rights to be upheld and protected. Change the law to keep those with Protection Orders out of Family Court.They gave up their rights to a family and children when they abused them!
