Comments: It is a shame that this Pastor is doing so many things against our wishes. He is misspending our money and turning away families.

Comments: Father Jim has expressed no interest in the well being of our Parish. Quote by Father Jim "I have a business to run" When did our Parish become a business, I thought we were supposed to support each other?

Comments: I have heard of a handful of good families being denied tuition assistance this year by Father Jim. Which means the families aren’t coming back, what is the tuition assistance fund for if were not using it? Thanks Father Jim for turning your back on our Parish.

Comments: I think it's time our voices are heard, I have been wondering about him ever since he started. I've had my doubts about his loyalty to our Parish and now I know his loyalty is to himself.

Comments: I have met Father Jim a few times and could tell he was all business and not anything like what we need in our Parish. We don't need a business manager we need a Pastor.

Comments: Why is our money being spent so irresponsibly and why are the children not being taken care of? I spoke with the Diocese this past week and we have one of the strongest Parishes in N.E. Ohio when it comes to available funds and tuition assistance. Let’s use the money for what it’s for, not for frivolous reasons.

Comments: This is shameful and cowardly. If you have an issue, go talk with him directly. He loves the parish and the school and is truly committed to IHM. Post this along with your ridiculousness, along with my name. I don't hide behind anonymity.

Comments: Shameful and cowardly you anonymous bunch of cowards! This happens all the time at parishes. A priest comes in, makes changes based on his leadership responsiilities and style, and a select group of folks run to Rome and try and throw him out. Half of you probably don't even attend mass on a regular basis or support the parish. qyit asking what IHM can do for you and give back - its what Christ asks you to do. Re-evaluate your motivations and actions and instead be a productive parishioner; not one who acts as a catalysyt for more drama. I'll pray for you.

Comments: I know from personal experience that Fr. Jim Singler cares only for himself and his money. At previous assignments he thought nothing of spending great sums of church money on personal comforts. His "friendly nature" is a complete sham; his true personality is quite rude and heartless. Only behind closed doors do you experience this. Perhaps there was a reason that he was not chosen to remain Pastor when his previous church was closed...perhaps his sabbatical was for a reason. Perhaps. Do your research; it speaks for itself.

Comments: Change is hard. Fr. Tom is very beloved and was a wonderful pastor. However his tenure has come to an end. Fr. Jim Singer is a remarkable, hardworking, dedicated and fine priest. IHM is very fortunate to have him as pastor. It is the responsibility of that pastor to make sure that the parish is receiving maximum benefit from the H/R monies that are expended. A pastor can't afford to pay (or overpay) a person just because he/she is a nice and liked person. Salaries must be justified on the basis of services performed. Any transition is difficult, but I am sure that the vast majority of parishioners, and by that I mean 95% of them, would expect Fr. Singler to make good H/R decisions which will maximize services to the parishioners and also maximize value for the contribution dollars that are received. Further, I suspect most parishioners appreciate the sound stewardship that includes making sure the buildings are adequately maintained, cleaned and beautified. He is an excellent pastor and I am sure the vast majority of parishioners are pleased that he is there.

Comments: LOL, this is a bunch of fucking nonsense. Outgoing, sympathetic pastor carries a lot of dead wood on the payroll out of kindness and the new guy knows that payroll is not the place to do charity work. So of course a handful of people are pissed off. NEWSFLASH: Parishioners want they money spent wisely and appreciate a pastor how does so!
