Few monuments in this country are more offensive than that of President Andrew Jackson's (sharp knife) stature which adorns the White House Lawn. History has shown that his offenses were many, but none more so than the removal of the southeastern tribes to west of the Mississippi River in what has become known as the TRAIL OF TEARS. This resulted in the death of thousands of Native, women, children and men, and was carried out in direct opposition to a Supreme Court finding that the Natives were entitled to their lands. It is beyond offensive that a despicable human being could be honored in such a way, and stands as a profound insult to every American, Native or otherwise. Please help us try to have this abomination taken from the White House lawn.
