Name: James M on Dec 15, 2012Comments: I have experienced terrible service from Paypal as a seller on Ebay. As a seller we are forced to use them as the payment processor and we simply want to use another card processor such as sagepay of google checkout whicmake it far easier for businesses to operate. We have had our account limited on several occassions which not only takes up our time but restricts our sales for around a week at a time. We cannot work with a company that damages our business in this way therefore we have removed our sales from Ebay to more reliable platforms. We fully support the removal of paypal from being compulsory on Ebay to give more choice to buyers/sellers and also a more competetive rate than what Paypal charge to process a transaction. Our current card processing company charge almost aquarter of what Paypal charge to process payments and our card processor is 100 times more reliable!Flag

Name: Nicci Haley on Dec 15, 2012Comments: Had a nightmare with paypal, they still owe me money for an item i sold on ebay. The buyer loved it and left a positive feedback ,she paid for the item yet 6 months on i still have not received my money, yet i have paid all my fees. I spend 33 pounds on phone calls trying to sort this problem out but all the staff at paypal have no clue as to what they are talking about. Im appalled with paypal and will never use or recommend them again.Flag

Name: Michael Craig on Dec 15, 2012Comments: I agree with Steve Rudd and James M. Paypal monopolise the ebay market and there costs are much higher than proper payment processing companies. I too have a website which uses sagepay and the cost is less than half what paypal charge and I dont get anywhere ner the hassle paypal have given me in the past. I dont use ebay because my account was being reviewed all the time, my sales are seasonal so sometimes they boost which caused an automatic review, my sales were then halted during the review which could take upto 2 weeks for them to sort out. 2 weeks of lost revenue is not the way a professional company should be treating businesses in this economic time!Flag

Name: Anonymous on Dec 17, 2012Comments: Paypal have seized over £1000 of my money, giving no reason whatsoever, they insist on keeping my funds for 180 days and say I will never be able to use ebay again. Their customer service is horrible, it is impossible to talk to someone who actually knows about your situation, instead whenever I make contact I just get put through to someone who recites the generalised email that was sent to me regarding the issue.Flag

Name: Richard Norman on Dec 17, 2012Comments: PayPal has cost me literaly thousands of pounds in sales because they froze payments and the customer lost interest because of the time taken to unfreeze payments. I am also angry because of the way they remove money from my account when an ebay customer has any form of complaint, it takes ages to remedy these situations. Frankly, to hell with PayPal.Flag

Name: TheLazyGirl on Dec 17, 2012Comments: I set up PayPal prior to the banking changes made (allowing users to switch money faster). In the last 3 months, I have transferred money 10 times. Every single time they've "held" it for "security reasons" for 72 hours. My account is fully verified. I have rung their phone number (at premium rate) and emailed to be told its random. Random 10 times? Really?! They are useless, rude and ignorant, I would love to be able to use another provider. I pay the same damn fees as everyone else yet others get their money transferred in 2 hours, I have to wait 3 days+. When I ask for an explanation, about why they are holding my money I am told they "can't tell me" that info. I have asked for a refund of my fees to be laughed at.Flag

Name: Duncan on Dec 18, 2012Comments: It's an incestuous monopoly and I have no idea how it slipped under the net. This was banned in Australia when they tried to enforce it on Australian eBay users. How come we missed it here? The result is a conglomerate who has no regard for it's client base and who jumps down the Debt Collection Agency route if it can't immediately get it's own perverse way. It is unregulated and it needs to stop.Flag
