Verizon built the 80-foot tall cell tower at HMS and Valentine Elementarywithout any building permits, inspections, tests or building planswith the City of San Marino or the Division of State Architects. Both government permits should have been obtained before the cell tower was built in 2006. High School tower owned by Global tower was located on earthquake fault line and also doesn't have valid DSA approval.
These cell sites towers located on our campuses expose our children and teachers to RF radiation at extreme close distance for years now. They could cause short term and long term irreversible and cumulative effects to people. The structure of the towers were not inspected properly; we demand the wireless carriers to remove the towers from our schools and move to at least 400 meter away from our schools.Updates

Verizon and Global Tower take your towers down by August 2016 otherwise I and my family (Verizon customers for about 20 years) will consider changing service and will spread the word about these unpermitted towers. Thanks.
Cell Towers don't belong near schools, period. 1 km away, or ensure levels don't exceed 10 microwatts per meter squared, in the playground/school property, to support medically vulnerable students and staff. Director, Canadian Educators for Safe Technology
Revise the FCC criteria for cell tower power emissions near schools and residences! We do not have data that prolonged exposure is safe.
No cell tower in schools. We must protect the children from potential radiation. Our young future leaders deserve a healthy environment and prevent them from potential short term or long term irreversible damage and cumulative effects of the cell towers structure.

There is no reason to allow the profit of any telecommunication company to come before the welfare of our children. The cell tower was erected without the proper and required permits and should be disconnected dismantled immediately!
