Dear members of the Vice Chancellor’s Executive We, the undersigned members of staff at RMIT, call on RMIT to remove the Behavioural Capabilities Framework from the main body of the on-line workplanning document, for the below reasons: 1. We believe it is inappropriate for RMIT to force staff to put their signature to a list of highly subjective values and behavioural expectations. 2. We believe that in the wrong hands the Behavioural Capabilities Framework could be used to victimise staff. In signing up to Behavioural Capabilities Framework staff may place themselves at risk. 3. We believe that removing the Behavioural Capabilities Framework from workplans is a fair compromise that enables RMIT to pursue its objectives without jeopardising individual freedoms and placing staff at risk of victimisation or punitive action.
