Name: Roger Chatfield on Sep 10, 2012Comments: Barbed wire is a dangerous form of fencing which has effect only by causing injury. Wildlife that falls foul of barbed wire often suffer puncture wounds which become infected and cause painful and lingering death. It is out of place in the countryside. When placed next to footpaths it can cause injury to passers-by and to their dogs. If the owner wishes to keep people out of the woods there are far safer means of doing so than using barbed wire.Flag
