If you didn't know, all our dining facilities (Foster, Folger, Hub, etc) are controlled by a company called Aramark.  They fill large food service needs of universities, stadiums, and prisons.  They have been the center of many investigations involving unpaid wages, uncooked food, food thats not fit to eat, and also health violations.  Aramark has had their way with students at IUP for too long. Their contract with IUP gives them an unfair, and perhaps illegal monopoly on dining on campus. We must take steps to remove them from our campus. By removing Aramark from IUP we hope to increase food quality, reduce food prices, and also improve overall student quality of life. Another benefit of removing Aramark would be competition between restaurants and other food suppliers. This forces businesses to give us good quality and better pricing. By signing this petition you are confirming that you support a movement to investigate and help put into action a plan to fully remove Aramark Corporation and their affiliates from our campus. Do your part to end Aramark's monopoly on IUP campus dining and improve everyone's IUP experience.
