This petition is for the removal of Nintoddler's Super Smash Brothers (hereinafter, 'SSB') series of games (Melee, Brawl etc.) from the annual Evolution Fighting Game Championships. This request is being predicated upon the following grounds:

(i) Said games are not fighting games per se (e.g., SF, KoF), rather, they are brawlers (e.g., DBZ, Naruto) and Evolution is a fighting game tournament. The combat in SSB games is incidental to the nature of the games and does not necessarily denote the games' genre.

(ii) The SSB games are far too simplistic a genre of game to be present in a competition where some of the highest level, competitive video gaming takes place.

(iii) The tournament in question hosts two(2) iterations of said title - in and of itself an insult to the fighting game community - occupying potential slots of other, far more worthy and pertinent fighting games.

(iv) The SSB community is inarguably one of the most infantile, petulant and video-gaming-community-mortifying groups of the pastime and their presence lowers the esteem of an otherwise respectable tournament.

(v) Nintoddler are clearly paying their way into events, like Evolution, and a stand against such blatantly corrupt industry practices must be made for the future prosperity of the pastime.
