In the 'Background and Lifestyle' section on MySpace, there is a drop-down box asking for your religion. It has 13 religions/belief systems, No Answer, and Other.
The beliefs of all people do not fit into one of thirteen catagories.
And the beliefs of millions of people do not deserve to be designated as ‘other’.
This sort of catagorization discourages independant thought.
This petition is requesting that the drop down box be replaced by a text box big enough to briefly explain the users individual religious beliefs. |
