Comments: i am usually pro-obama, at least in terms of the majority of his social policies, but this is really ensuring that an orwellian history is only written in hindsight through the lens of the victors. just because the US is running out of dictators to prop up in the middle east doesn't mean they have to start propping up the bars in a country for a case they claim to not be apart of.

Comments: journalists risk their lives to uncover truth. if this is not a presidential effort to conceal embarrassing collateral damage, release Abdulelah Haider Shaye

Comments: This is a pretty appalling story that everyone should know about. Shaye has been in prison for a total of 19 months. It's totally unacceptable. Obama personally requested that he remain in prison after Shaye revealed the killing of civilians in Yemen in American attacks. Shaye is the kind of journalist we should all be sticking up for.

Comments: Please free Journalist Abdulelah Haider Shaye. He is a journalist, not a terrorist. The USA stands for freedom of the press. In this case the verdict was the result of a disputed trial that was condemned by several human rights and press freedom groups. Rather than manipulating the president of Yemen, the US government's concerns must be presented in a courtroom. This case is another instance of paranoid overreaction by the US. It is shameful!
