Hello horror movie fans! It has come to our attention that the filmmakers of the Evil Dead remake have NOT announced an unrated version of the movie. Before hitting theaters, the film got an NC-17 rating, and it had to be cut down to an R rating. As loyal fans, we want to experience the movie as it was MEANT to be, before it was cut down to an R. We understand this was necessary for a theatrical release because it reaches a much higher demographic and it would also give it the chance to make a lot more money. We totally get that, but much like horror movie tradition, an unrated version is always released on Bluray/DVD. Since there are less restrictions for DVD releases, the unrated version would be ideal right now. Evil Dead was a great horror film, and we the fans want to see what was originally filmed.
