Peggy L. OkinsThis is more fascist legislation that harms more kids than it protects since there are kids on sex offender registries and the children of former offenders are also impacted. Plus, most SO's have committed non-violent crimes like urinating in public. These deceptive laws should never be implemented because no-one benefits from them except career-oriented politicians.
Walter HowardThis law is another waste of time and money.
Derek LogueThe real purpose of this law is to try to silence former offenders who speak out against counterproductive sex offender laws
thomas ericksonChildren should be the ones kept from the internet not grown men or women just because they are sex offenders . Protecting children starts with the parents not the government or LAW that infringe on constitutional rights .

David MuirThese laws do not protect children as they are designed. Laws need to be inacted for a convicted Sex Offender that no threat to children.
AnonymousIt is obvious that all or our laws are in dire need of reform. This is what happens when we as a society do not excercise our rights. Our Laws and Law enforcement need to be better utilized to serve a greater cause, not pettiness.
CarrieOnce again, more laws that do nothing but give parents a false sense of security while isolating an entire segment of society. Parents need to monitor their childrens' activity online, not the government. Due to the already-severe restrictions, which make it difficult for people on the SOR to find jobs, the internet might be their only way to find gainful employment.
Emili CulpAccording to the definitions in this proposed bill, RSOs can be banned from using sites such as eBay. They must contact the Registry every time they want to log on to a new site to so much as post a question on the proper way to install a door!--and if they fail to do this, they can be thrown in prison!!! Whatever happened to due process? Probable Cause? Needing a Search Warrant? Another Outrageous Law to persecute the favorite Political Target du jour.
Jim CulpS-431 is blatantly unconstitutional!!!!! When will the paranoia end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Malinda Joseph
Judy CulpS-431 should absolutely be TOTALLY rejected!!! This is overly broad, vague, and not fair to former sex offenders who paid their dues, turned their lives around, and are law abiding, productive members of society. This unjust, UNCONSTITUTIONAL, and limits the time police, sheriffs, etc. have to keep track of the truly dangerous predators. REJECT S-431 PLEASE!!!!!
Pat VanDensenThis is a terrible law that will do nothing to protect us from violent sexual predators, but only overburden an already impossibly burdened system. We need a national registry for violent sex offenders, but this is a bad law that will hurt many people and accomplish nothing.

AnonymousPlease say "NO" to S-431-ES.
Lisa RislerPlease, PLEASE include the low-risk and no risk sex offenders like my son Eric www.changingthelaw.com -- he's in prison for CHATTING -- consensual chat - never met her and never attempted it! Come on - not all sex offenders ARE sex offenders!!! Please consider this!
Cathy CannonOur lawmakers need to consider taking all of the nonviolent, nonpredatory offenders off of the registry as well. These laws punish who are not a danger or threat to society.
VickieThis is a great petition, however, it would be even better if it included "no risk" offenders. Anyone who really thinks that the gestapo vigilante tactics of monitoring the internet useage of no-risk, low-risk, offenders is going to keep their children safe has been sold a 'lie'. This law is a violation of the Constitutional rights of the thousands of law abiding sex offenders who are wanting nothing more than to have the opportunity to move on with their lives!
Kevin McDonaldStop promoting dumb laws that play on false fears and mythologies. Focus your energies on preventing child abuse and punishing those who *truly* deserve to be punished.
ZManhttp://sexoffenderissues.blogspot.com/ When an ex-offender is forced to move from his/her home, thus having to sell it, cannot find another home within the law due to the residency "buffer" zones, get fired from their jobs due to being on the registry, cannot find a new job due to being on the registry, their husband/wife lose their jobs due to a significant other being on the registry, their children lose their friends and are harassed and bullied in school due to a family member being on the registry, thus destroying the children's lives, ex-offenders are forced into homelessness and to live under bridges, harassed by police, neighbors and probation/parole officers, have to wear "I'm a sex offender T-shirt" or have a neon green license plate on ALL their cars, have "sex offender" on their drivers license and forced to renew their licenses every year, forced from shelters during tornadoes or hurricanes, cannot give blood at some places due to being discriminated against for being on the sex offender registry, denied housing due to being on the registry, signs placed in their yards inviting harassment and ridicule from the neighbors, forced to move when the neighbors start picketing outside the ex-offenders home, the list is endless. I THINK THIS IS CRUEL AND UNUSUAL PUNISHMENT, BEYOND THE EXTREME!
Karen PiercyWake up America! We must VOTE the Idiots out of office! That's how to save our children, our families, our lives! The laws are flawed!!!
Debra TakacsThis is another example of over reaching legislation! This is of little or no benefit in efforts to monitor the high risk offenders. This is another way of putting all offenders under the same umbrella even if they are low risk.

GARY THOMPSONEveryone can change their lives if that is their intention. Those that have serious issues that pose a threat to society due to the persons lack of control of his impulses would be better off in a structured environment free from temptation and the daily struggle to survive in an oppressive society that can make life unbearable
