We Reject Bad Healthcare Reform
The answer to unaffordable healthcare is not found in creating new costs, installing new bureaucracy, and eliminating individual choice. The answer to unaffordable healthcare is NOT: 1. To create new costs for medical centers by entitling people to care below the actual cost of service (e.g. Medicare/caid); or 2. To limit the ability of small businesses to provide benefits with taxes for healthcare benefits they can't afford to provide on their own; or 3. To increase insurers costs by hindering discretion in applicants or to require providing services at a loss; or 4. To create bureaucracy and reimbursement costs for private insurers to collect subsidies and government to pay them out; or 5. To tax individuals for not purchasing healthcare benefits that they can't afford to obtain on their own; or 6. To penalize and levy fines on individuals who pay out of pocket, choose not to participate, or for other individual healthcare choices. We, the undersigned, reject these proposals being considered by the President and Congress as illogical and intrusive. We reject this bad so-called "reform."
