Comments: We believe acceptance of these dollars calls into question the sovereignty of any states that accept it. Furthermore, we feel certain that the ongoing expenses associated with continuing new and amended programs in the State of Tennessee as a result of this package will result in additional tax burdens for Tennesseans after Federal Stimulus dollars run out

Comments: I aatpecipre the fact that Tennessee wants to catch up with the rest of the nation in terms of standardized test scores. However, please make sure that all children have the basis knowledge skills that they need, especially in terms of spelling and math skills. As a parent, I want our children to catch up . However, all children must first be taught and continue to be taught skills that require memorization and drills . Please don't letthese basis skills be left by the roadside for the sake of catching up . Tennessee has been trying to catch up since the Master Tennessee plan first began many years ago. Teachers were told to teach a skill two to three times. Thank goodness there were teachers like my mom that said that she would teach the skills under the students knew the skill. They she would move on.

Comments: cost etiematss used as evidence that implementation of the TNVCA would be cost prohibitive were so wildly disparate. Privacy booths would cost $10.00 each in Haywood County and $750.00 each in Cannon County?

Comments: One of the gesrteat assets to our society is trained, talented, individuals who can begin their careers with the needed skill set to perform the jobs right. It is a breath of fresh air to see the government run schools realize the true needs of the students and partner them with other students who have walked in their shoes. Kudos to the those who embrace the true value of gainful employment for our students!
