602 Sara GoodwinI think this situation warrents a second look. There appears to be disservice to Mr.Churchill, fellow academics, and future generations of those seeking an education. Thank you for your consideration.
603 Darrell PhareYour actions bring shame. Institutions of higher learning should be the staunch supporters of our rights as Americans, not lock-step tools of a system gone wrong.

607 Prof. Forrest WilliamsThis case manifests a pattern exhibited by State Governors, legislators, and corporations extending at least as far back as the KKK about a century ago, maintained (out of their robes, at last) in the thirties and forties, and continued by McCarthyites in the fifties, right to this day, with the supine compliance of most of our University Administrators (with the very notable exception of President George Norlin). Indeed, President Brown's active involvement in ACTA represents, in my opinion, a conflict of interest as well.
608 Jeff GreenI would like to encourage all those who signed on to the decision to resign. This would go a long way in repairing the damage done to all those who have or will have degrees from the University of Colorado.
609 Don Barshaybecause they occupy a very different and, as i perceive it, distorted view of reality, those who are responsible for the firing of ward churchill have acted disgracefully.

616 AnonymousThis is a danger to our first amendment rights to go after protected speech when it "pisses us off"
617 Phil BellfyIt is clear that the dismissal of Ward Churchill is an assault on the very system of tenure designed to protect academics from these types of witch-hunts. On that basis alone, everyone who values academic freedom and freedom of speech should protest his dismissal.

624 Amiri & Amina BarakaIt is disgusting that a foreign power , the state of Israel, has such power and control here in the United States. Consider, not England or Germany nor France has such power. Even to render null & void the First Amendment.

626 chic streetmanWe realize that you are elected officials and have been under tremendous political and financial pressure to fire Professor Churchill. However, we urge you to take your responsibilities to the Constitution and to the education of future generations seriously, and to reinstate Ward Churchill.

637 Jim GaffneyThis man should be reinstated pending a more thorough investigation of the charges.
638 Adam KingIt's more than coincidental that the so-called "academic misconduct" was only investigated after a controversy such as this became a concern for those in power within academia.

649 Prof Charles J. Sugnet, University of MinnesotaAs a professor teaching native american literature and training high school teachers to do so, I have relied often on scholarly books and articles by Professor Ward Churchill. I consider his work to be excellent scholarship. Actions like the one taken by the University of Colorado threaten the longstanding American traditions of academic freedom and freedom of speech.
