Reinstate Spanish Education in Gurnee District 56

This petition urges the School Board of Gurnee District 56 to reinstate Spanish education in the middle school curriculum. This petition was written by Jo Beckwith, a member of the Gurnee Grade School Parent Advisory Committee. The Beckwith\'s have one student in District 56. Their high school sophomore benefitted from Spanish education in the district before it was cut.

    Comments: Our students are at a huge disadvantage not having a foreign language offered until high school. Not only are we behind Woodland but we are behind the majority of Lake and Cook county.
