Have you seen this? The heavy hand of the market subverting science itself:
or here:
Nina Teicholz was included in the Food Policy Panel, at a conference organized by the Consumer Federation of America. This gave the world some chance of seeing correct science being included in our nutritional guidelines. But she has now been thrown off - and replaced with a person from the potato industry. Right.
So let's join to counter this latest chicanery. Our population needs science-based guidelines. Our population needs open scientific debate at the very least. We should demand diversity and unbiased representation. We've all paid for it - we deserve more than this censorship. This rank obfuscation, that seems tailored to protect fraying reputations. And greedy corporate interests.
It would also be a super idea to let your thoughts be known, in this facebook post from the Consumer Federation itself:

A hundred signatures already which feels absolutely wild honestly because who knew so many people actually cared about the potato lobby takeover plus it makes me think maybe we can actually push back against this nonsense.

We are grinding toward that next milestone and I need everyone to drop this link into their group chats right now because inertia is the enemy of progress. I feel like if we just hit that specific number of names before the next board meeting starts they will finally have to acknowledge that people are actually paying attention to this potato lobby nonsense.

I believe that Nina Teicholz is a source of some extremely valuable nutritional information, history, and relevant insights. Disinviting her from this conference only serves to make one wonder what the people in charge don't want the rest of us to know about.
Let's please have our public institutions work for the public with maximum integrity. Nina belongs on this panel. Her work has hugely contributed to the advancement of nutrition science, and has helped improve the health of many, including yours truly.
Is the old guard so afraid of change that they will openly prevent discussion? The scientific method is to try to disprove every hypothesis. How is the heart lipid hypothesis standing up to actual facts and evidence? Is reality threatening revenue streams?
Nutrition advice is held in low regard by the public because of the constant changes over the years. Listening to a well-reasoned, dissenting view point can only help the field by ensuring that the advice accurately reflects the state of scientific knowledge.
Nina Teicholz offers the science-based perspective that is not biased by moneyed interests. We the people demand that we use science to determine what to eat and not biased organizations or nutritionists that receive money from special interest groups.
Everyone should know the Truth
Reinstate Teicholz!!!

Nina's book "The Big Fat Surprise" should be required reading for everyone on the panel. It is the most thoroughly documented book I have read on any subject. I changed my dietary habits as a result and feel happier and healthier as a result.
