   Comments: I can't believe the way the workers in this trust have been treated and I think it is absolutely disgusting that Karen has been suspended. They should consider themselves very lucky to have such a dedicated workforce. No wonder loads of staff are emigrating!

   Comments: I fully support Karen and the Union activities surrounding her suspension. The treatment of her by her employer is an abomination, and it demonstrates the values of the executive board and thier views of staff. Disgraceful.

   Comments: We need people like Karen working in the the NHS to tell us how it really is. The only thing that can happen if NHS management gag all their employees is a worse service to the public. A gagged NHS allows malpractice and bad management to be covered-up.

    Comments: reinstate Karen I dont know very much about this I just want to say I myself have been under the mentsl health for many years and without all the help I have had I would not be alive myself today thanx to all staff at mental health , they work very hard .also there should be more awarness for mental health.

    Comments: If the management of this Trust had listened to Karen, her views representing those of the large majority of staff, and of service users and carers serving and served by the Trust, and entered into meaningful and mature discussion and negotiation, then the distress to all concerned, the enormous waste of time, money and resources, the damage to morale, to relationships, and to the future way forward for this Trust, could have been avoided and something positive developed in its place. Reinstate Karen and start moving this Trust forward into something workable that we can all be proud of.

    Comments: Absolutely appalled (though not surprised) by the treatment received by Karen. The NHS,I know through experience, can be ruthless to those who speak out against poor standards, H&S issues and 'backdoor privitisation' etc.

    Comments: This suspension is unjust and profundly sinister. As a researcher into Freedom of Information, I believe passionately that the public deserve to know the truth about service provision not some Orwellian propaganda mirage promoted by management. I reject the concept that the Trust's reputation is enhanced by autocratic managerialism, secrecy and spin. Your struggle is also the struggle of every trade unionist and indeed any citizen who values debate, honesty and democratic accountability. Remember that the Trust is subject to the Freedom of Information Act........which can be used to your advantage because management CANNOT evade disclosure of information not specific to individual service users on the grounds that it is "damaging" or embarrassing.     Comments: Re. Karen and her suspension from her job. If we want intelligent care for individuals suffering from mental health problems we need people who are prepared to scrutinise the type of care being delivered. We need a debate with the front line staff as to how problematic and concerning delivering care in this field can be. We need to recognise .... that perfect health care delivery, longed for by the government in order to secure tenure in power is in fact complex and and linked to social policy. Nurses need a break! the are the vangard of care giving and therefore best placed to note and comment on their experiences of what it is like to be responsible for such care. If Karen is being singled out because she dares to comment! then we need a forum to examine why she is being silenced. Surely Karen is flagging-up short comings in a thinking and expectation that is at odds with the lived experience. If this is the case then why fear of her observations. Why damage and demoralise her by withdrawing her from her occupation, instead why not invite a healthy debate If we are brave then we will take -up her challenge to address these issues. We should not be punitive and cowardly and hide behing rhetoric we should salute her
