Coach Ables has been a Winning coach, an effective coach, but most all, a caring coach. No matter how fast an athlete ran or how well he placed, he treated each one of us with respect and love. He genuinely wanted all of us to excel not only in sports but academics, music, and arts. It is not logical to suddenly not "rehire"--fire-- Coach Ables for some petty reasons. He has protected Carmel High School's track and x-country family tradition for decades. Now it is our turn to protect Coach.
