Roller derby is the biggest growing sport in Canada and in some provinces, there are junior leagues.  Junior leagues are pretty much the same as regular roller derby only less aggression and safer.  YOU DO NOT HAVE TO JOIN IF YOU SIGN! Only if you agree or think Regina deserves a junior derby team.  Having a junior team definitely has benefits for the city’s big league and the kids. For example,  juniors in Edmonton have to pay $10 a month to play (money for the big league) , one day these kids will grow up and will already have years of derby experience making them better players, without a junior league, the other Canadian junior derby girls will grow up into amazing derby girls and kick our buts, the other junior leagues will have more than two teams to play (think of football, if the riders only played the same team over and over again it would be boring). For the kids, it gives a cool, fun safe hobby to do instead of partying or doing drugs, It’s a good way to make friends (the Saskatoon juniors proved that), it helps teens stay active, it builds muscle and  give your kids opportunity to go on road trips.  To clear things up, none of the juniors I’ve seen have tattoos, and don’t dress as the adults so it’s innocent.
