106 ArmandoTorresI am an American citizen and so is my son my wife has done everything legal and is here as a resident alien. We have paid our taxes every year honestly and we have the right to this as every other American. I feel I am being discriminated against because my wife is not yet an American citizen

110 RaulPickettI personally sponsored a volunteer income tax assistance program to assist low income residents file income taxes to obtain the Stimulous package payment. We regretfully had to turn away many people because they didn't have Social Security Numbers although legal residents.

116 AnonymousAnonymousWe need to change these unfair anti-immigrant laws that end up hurting US citizens and legal residents as well.

124 AnonymousAnonymousI had e-mailed California Legislators in February warning them of the impact on families and local economy.
125 RicardoDiazWhy is it that anyone that works hard and files taxes should not receive the rebate? How sad and totally unAmerican for any member of Congress to continue looking for scapegoats instead of concentrating on true security and growth for our country.

132 SALIMIBRAHIMIt's a struggle dealing with a stress on separation alone. The stimulus payment would at least give us some relief. Give people a fair chance!

138 ClintJohnsonWrote Representative Chip Pickering and Senator Thad Cochran a letter, so far no response. My wife didn't have SSN when I filed, now she does, I've even amended my 1040, but that doesn't seem to matter, this Citizen and his legal wife have been excluded in the redistribution of wealth. I don't even know any illegal immigrants.
139 davidamitinI am an American citizen living here with my Thai wife and our child who holds an American passport. Because the immigration department is so slow (we have been waiting a year for my wife's visa to go through) now not only is she ineligible but so are my 3 year old daughter and me. Completely unfair.

145 StephaniePlasenciaI work a full time job and have 2 children just because the love of my life has a ITIN this should not stop me from getting the stimulas check nor our children. I Understand that we should not receive nothing for my husband. But I work full time and pay taxes and our children and I are United states citizens and have a valid ssn.
146 ThomasJohnsonI am here legally, pay taxes, social security and am trying to raise my 2 american born daughters. Does it cost me any less to fill up my gas tank, put food on my table, pay my mortgage or pay my state and local taxes? Ridiculous! The IRS has the ability to determine whether or not someone is using a fake social security number. When I applied for my wife's Tax ID number, I had to show proof of residency as well as Visas, etc. This is very unfair to hard working legal residents.
