Campaign reform is needed in order to take back control of our great country. The last election put a glaring light on the need. Thankfully the American people did not allow this election to be bought and paid for. The amount a canidate can spend on a campaign needs to be severely limited. When an industry springs up because of campaigning, to much is being spent. I would suggest $500,00.00 per election. Next is how much can be donated. With a limit of $500,000.00 per election that is the total that can be accepted in donations. This would also eliminate the Super Pacs and the huge tax loopholes for the holders of the Super Pac. We now have campaigns running for over a year. It seems that as soon as one election is over the next campaign begins. I suggest a campaign length of no more than 6 months. The $500,000.00 cap on spending and donations would cover that time frame. I would hope when this comes up for debate these basics would be kept. I am sure much more is needed. But this IS a good start.
