Assalamu'alaikum and peace be upon you all.
We are working on getting a new reflection space in one of the engineering buildings at the university. This will save students a lot of time from traveling to the union to pray or to reflect. This space will be used by Muslims, Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, Catholics, and many other religions. In the end, the reflection space will promote religious harmony; so that we may tolerate other religions, and treat them the way we want to be treated.
I have submitted a formal request for a meeting with the campus facilities department to discuss available floor plans in the engineering complex. My current focus is gathering logistical data on existing room usage to present a practical layout for a dedicated reflection space.

The volume of support has secured us a formal meeting with the facilities planning committee next week. I am currently organizing the specific building usage data to present as our primary evidence for this space.

Great idea. Its just common sense to have a quiet place for everyone to use when you have long days on campus.

The walk to the union takes way too long between back to back lectures. Having a spot in the eng building would be a huge help.
