In the final set of women volleyball match held in Tokyo to find 4 teams to go to Rio Olympic in August, Thailand-Japan match, Thai lead 12-7 before unclear 12-8, then challenge or players switch was not allowed for Thai. At that point when Thai coach asked, the referee gave red card and gave Japan free point 12-9. In emotional and doubtful feeling , Thai players continued, score went to 12-12 (the winning point is 15). On Japan lead 12-13 score, Thai coach requested a challenge but not allowed and when Thai captain asked, again free score penalty given by the Mexican referee set Japan team to match point and they win this set by 15-13.

The end result of this qualifying event is Japan goes to Rio instead of Thailand if Thais could have won that final set of the match. The referee is suspicious of what they did is not OK in one's common sense to give match point to the host team without reasonable explanation.
