Name: Asram:one Whom Needs You on Dec 6, 2007Comments: Dearest Sandy, I came home from another hard day at work....and looked in at the Reef...a place which I have came to love...and cherish.....and found myself in shock..dismay....and absolute total terror..as I read about your decision.. at first.....I refused to believe there could be any truth to what I was seeing...it was if I just had to be sleeping..somehow...and it was some kind of awful nightmare...a scary..heartknumbing...bonechilling dream....which made all other bad dreams seem like happy go lucky daydreams..in comparison.. NO!!! oh god no!!!! I shouted..at my monitor...as I frantically pounded out some nonsensical...blabbering..posts..at the Ward....feeling helpless...and on the brink of being out of control.. Sandy...I know I probably have been a little needy...with my pushing...and grabbing...and reaching...for your attention...in your chat lately...but I couldn't help it......I like you soooooooo much.....you are like a sister...a mother...someone I have a silly crush on...a friend...someone whom I greatly respect.....someone I would seek advice from....and so much more......all rolled into one.. Please reconsider your decision to close the Reef.....please Sandy....will you please give it just a little more time I am almost crying as I type this.......and if it wern't just a lil bit embarrassing...I might admit that 'almost' meant 'am'.. if you will stay with us....as for my part...I promise to be a better poster...a better 'Reef dezizzen'....I will do my very..very best to 'clean up my act'....and to gratly curtail any..and all bad behavior...which might cause others visiting...or even regs..to think maybe the Reef is not such a great place.. I will try and be the type of poster that would encourage others to want to be regs at the Reef.. AND.. Sandy...I will promise not to bug you....not to post (too many) goofy...flattering... and syrupy sweet posts at you..or about you..like I have been doing...if that is what you desire.. I want you to know.........when I messed up....and lost my job awhile back....and was experiencing a very dark time....you...and your site were of tremendous help to me...in regaining my sanity....and I truly don't know what might have happened if I had not had the Reef....and you...and all my peeps..to lean on....and to take solace in..........I honestly believe that not only might I not have been successful at getting clean......but that I might even have sunk much deeper into despair...and darkness......and not be among the living..this day.. in other words Sandy...you might very well have been a significant part..in the saving of a life.. I wish I had some magical...inspirational type things to say....to help you...in your own time of need...and somewhat troubling time......but alas I never managed to attend the local college's free lecture night...when 'Inspirational Speaking 101' was featured.. I hope your heart will tell you to give us all anbother chance......what are we going to do without you Please stay....it would mean oh so much to me.....l.and I know it would mean a lot to other people too.. There are a lot of nice people here...unfortunately often the only ones that are visible are the ones who cause problems. Please don't let those people cause you to close the Reef. Don't let them win...stand up to them and prove that you are stronger than they are. I have enjoyed the Reef very much and would hate to see it close because of the trouble makers. It has been over three years of my life, working with fantastic ppeople FOR fantastic users [yes all users are great. Even the trolls since they actually help make the place dynamic and alive. You always need ying and yang :) ] I would like to thank everyone for allowing me the oppurtunity to know you all, and would also especially like to thank Sandy for the initiative, the spark, and more importantly her heart and smile that she has shown, and allowed to shine through, every day for the Reef. I will not comment on what has occured since I have left, I apprecate the sentiments but can also see the struggle, the pain and the personal hurt it has put Sandy through too, which hurts me to see happen to anyone. No matter what happens I would like to wish all the best to a wonderful bunch of people that ARE and always will be theReef. These things I warmly wish for you. Someone to love, some work to do, A bit o' sun, a bit o' cheer, And a guardian angel always near. Remember that nothing beautiful in this world is ever really lost.
