We the undersigned do express our concern, opposition and rejection of the changes being proposed by the LFEPA Head of Human Resources/senior management to our Redundancy Compensation Scheme. Staff deserve a fair deal in hard times and we call on LFEPA to protect our redundancy payments and we draw attention to the fact that LFEPA is projected to have reserves of approximately £48 million by the end of the current financial year so can well afford retaining the current scheme. We call on the Head of Human Resources/LFEPA to withdraw these proposals and to engage in meaningful and constructive contractual negotiations with our trade union representatives as the changes are not in accordance with 'ACAS - Varying a Contract of Employment' which sets out the process that ensures consent with employees through meaningful negotiations.
