Comments: especially when the age range spans from not yet four to six and a half in an SK/JK split it seems absurd to think that real potential can be fulfilled and needs be met

Comments: My son is presently at Ossington Old Orchard public school in full day kindergarten. He is a senior with the same teacher he had last year. Since he started school he has been very angry and stressed out. The class is simply too large for these young children. I simply cannot understand or accept why is legal to have 28-32 children in one room with two adults at school when at any certified Ontario day care the ratio is 10 to 1. I find it so unfair and ironic that my son was forced to leave the daycare we loved, The Westend YMCA daycare once the al day program started because it the daycare cannot accomodate all day kindergarten children. Had he stayed there, he would have been in a class room and daycare with maximum 10 children. If we continue with all day kindergarten, then let the children rotate 2.5 days a week. Or break up the class rooms so there are less children in the room. It is simply a very stressful experience for children show are having their very first experience at school.

Comments: It's unfair and burning people out; both the children and the teachers. These are critical learning years to our little ones. This over-crowed system is stressing them out and turning them off attending school. This system is not a solution. The backlash will be serious.
