| 951 | SANDRA | TORIBIO | MI | US | My sister was killed by a redlight runner and he went free! Not one day served in jail yet we are left to mourn our sister every day. Its senseless!!! Until the people in the Congress and Legisalture are hit with a tradegy like my family then RED LIGHT RUNNING will matter to them. In the meantime more daughters, sisters, brothers, fathers are killed each day by people who think red light ruunning is ok and not a serious offense. |

| 953 | Melissa | Trost | NC | US | When my mother was killed by a red light runner in Riverview FL 9/28/05, I found out firsthand what kind of dangers we all face out on the roads because of drivers simply not being punished for thier wreckless habits. I have since moved out of the state of Florida and I now face letting my young son apply for his permit and venture out on the roads. I AM TERRIFIED! Something has to be done. Some states are worse than others but RLR is a national problem. It needs to be addressed at a national level. Why is this such a battle? What is the question here? Red light running is dangerous! If a camera is what it takes to catch these dangerous people then so be it! If you are not running the lights then the cameras will not be an issue. It's that simple. Why is this a matter of privacy issues or fines? How can either of those things outweigh the price of a life? Write your Senator, your Congressman, your President. Speak out. They have to listen eventually. |

| 955 | Anonymous | Anonymous | FL | US | This is long overdue. Although if our law enforcement officers ignore the problem repeatedly, I'm not holding out much hope.
I hope action will facilitate change. |

| 959 | wayne | kressin | FL | US | This must be done immediately. How many people must be killed or severely injured before action is taken ?? |
| 960 | Joe | Fielder | FL | US | I hope that this effort includes the illimination of "stop and go right" at red lights. |
| 961 | Jeff | Herba | FL | US | Stop killing people by not passing the cameras! |
| 962 | Barry | Sutton | FL | US | As a snowbird from the UK where cameras on busy intersections have been in force for many years . I can state that the number of red light running accidents at intersections has been drastically reduced since their introduction.
I fully support the introduction of intersection cameras in Florida. Long overdue. |

| 967 | Adam | French | FL | US | What is the holdup with this? They say invasion of privacy? You want privacy then stay off the streets or simply don't run red lights! |

| 976 | Richard | Guy | FL | US | We need to give law enforcment the tools they need to stop scofflaw drivers. |
| 977 | Robert | Farney | FL | US | I can't imagine why anyone would have objections, and create a law that severly punishes Red Right Runners. This is one of the most unsafe things I see on the roads in our cities in Florida, and the United States today as a matter of fact.
Please "STOP these Red Light Runners"! |
| 978 | K Peter | Evans | FL | US | I live on Hwy27 in Haines City accross from the WalMart. Every morning I notice sometimes 3-4 cars run through the red lights in both directions. This is an accident waiting to happen. If law inforcement did a better job of ticketing/fining, then we could affort more police persons on the road. Bad people come in two categories: ignorant & inconsiderate. |
| 979 | Daniel | Pieloch | FL | US | I was in my car waiting at the light at the intersection of International Drive and Westwood Blvd. this past Thursday. A full THREE seconds after my light had turned green, some idiot barrelled through his/her red light, obviously over the speed limit too. I said to my girlfriend, who was in the passenger seat and would have been killed if I moved my car when my light turned green, "We could've both just been killed." Please put cameras at EVERY major- and medium-traffic intersection. Couldn't the government use the money generated from ticketing red-light runners? |

| 986 | John | Walvoord | FL | US | I am absolutely in favor of the red light cameras. If you cannot make a decision to make this the law, put it on the ballot and see how many of us will vote it in. I was almost killed along with my wife 5 years ago because of a blatent red light runner. Catch them and throw the book at them. They are no better than DUI killers. And stop the no-stop-right-turn on red violators too. |
