Name: Anonymous on Sep 28, 2007Comments: I have a private boat, shared with two mates we have used it for fishing for years, I have seen the charter fishing fleet disappear over the years and this latest kick in the teeth will probably kill off quite a few more, and severely curtail boat use for everyone. Somebody is not listening, and he knows who he is, Goodbye Gordon.Flag

Name: Terry Batt on Oct 1, 2007Comments: if this extra duty is imposed it will without doubt send my charter buissines of some 20 hard years into liquidation as diesel over the last few years hve risen out off all proportion. And all this because Europe have once again told oue spinless goverment what to do! Bring back Magie Thatcher at least she would have fought for all of us and told Europe wher to get off!!! and when all is said and done Europe will still have cheaper DIESEL than us so why dont we insist they have to pay the same rate as us and watch their industry go to the wall like our's.... yours very bittery-: Terry Batt (Charter Skipper)Flag

Name: Anonymous on Oct 20, 2007Comments: Whatever next from the EU, don't they want us to fish our own waters. I have been boat fishing our coast for 45 years but I am afraid my next generation will not have the pleasure quite as often as I did with cost of a days fishing. This is after all a sport for all to enjoy not just the rich.Flag
